So my Super Nintendo went kablooey a while back and have been looking for a replacement unit (I have a nice little CRT tucked away in a cupboard) but I really am tempted by this thing as I have a whole bunch of my carts from when I was a young man still laying around. Sorry, I mostly play NTSC :( I think you should be fine running PAL at 60hz, issues will likely arise running anything optimised to run at full screen/speed on PAL.

Import gaming was like witchcraft... you could do it by shaving some plastic off your Megadrive case. When they started region locking it got more difficult (and expensive). SNES needed a dedicated import machine to do so was even crazier... never forget playing Mario Kart at 60hz for the first time... couldn't go back after that.

Has anyone had any luck getting a Madcatz SFIV TE stick working? It's recognized (shows me that it's connected and what the hardware IS) but stalls halfway through configuration, I can't get it to not assign buttons to a function - the bit where you hold any button to not assign a button to a function? Turbo is not active. Very odd. Google is not being particularly helpful as everything I can find is related to before support was added.

I'm sat on like 10k right now after levelling and equipping dudes. Deadpool is sat levelled at around 30 because I can't afford to bring him up to viable levels. Same with Thor. Basically any good B-team guys are sat there waiting for a cash windfall so I can level them into a decent secondary team. It doesn't help that I'm levelling faster than I can keep up with - I'm level 56 (or thereabouts) and my highest level guys are 54 :/

Took a 300+ mile journey last week. We stopped in a town mid-way for a picnic and they had a great play area for the kids to run around in and punch themselves out. We also had the iPad for the eldest so he could watch a movie. It worked pretty okay. Planning is everything!!! We looked into where we could stop, made sure we had the right movies downloaded and made sure the timings were right ahead of time. The youngest napped on both legs of the journey - we started a little before his first naptime. The eldest napped after the park so it was quite an ok journey. Alas I don't have any advice for the escapist, we had a few instances of that but he understood quite quickly the dangers and knocked it off (also the iPad helped immensely with this :D ).

First kid was kinda tricky, she had one in mind which was a no-go for certain reasons, we compromised and later I realised that it had the similar issues to the first but by then was too late. The second one was a finger in the air moment and we both loved it. Everyone else is kinda "WTF?" about it but we love it, and it suits him wonderfully. Real explanations require a specificity that I probably shouldn't share, I guess? I dunno, nobody else is so... XD

Our first was a terrible sleeper. Suffered from colic so it was rough for a long time until he could roll over onto his front. He still wasn't great at it until he was in his own room and then the trouble was getting him off to sleep. He's been a champion sleeper for a good 18 months now and even gets up at a reasonable hour thanks to a Gro Clock (seriously, it has been such a help!). Our second has been great at sleeping for the most part but he's starting to teethe so the troubles are coming back but we at least know what we're doing this time. I'm still tired, tho! XD

Yeah, it's a neat mode... on paper. The waiting is pretty awful and I don't think the map particularly suits it either. As for the challenge, it's get a kill as Iden and the Senate, they don't have to be together. I got the challenge after doing like 10 games of it. I couldn't get a kill as the Senate to save my life... very frustrating. Iden I knocked out in about 20 seconds XD The real kicker was the kills with Luke and Rey on the field... thing is so patchy about tracking it and Luke still needs a buff to his saber combat, his glowy stick is quite ineffective compared to Rey and Yoda.

At least one new map in a new location. No indication on what mode that will be for. I'm hoping we at least get some new Han Solo skins (their website already has pictures of A New Hope Han so that has to be coming...) and maybe Qira as a new Hero? I guess if they're doing that they'd also need to do a villain for balance? Not sure who from that movie would be up for it... maybe Paul Bettany's character?

It is somewhat painful to level up playing something like Galactic Assault, but if you play the more focused trooper modes and Heroes vs Villains, you should have a suite of viable characters in a fairly reasonable amount of time.

Yeah, you get a whole... two. Interestingly they're holding a 'Coffee Machine' chat on their forums presently about how they've handled crafting parts. From the sounds of it there's a lot of them still out there and they're bouncing around ideas on how to deal with that such as converting them to credits among other things. A recurring point is that how adding points doesn't level your ships/troopers, greatly diminishing their value (I completely agree with this point) and how this wasn't communicated as clearly as it could have been. So there seems to be some possibility, moving forward, that further changes are coming down the pipe. The fact they don't level your character is so ruddy silly, you're effectively capped from spending them in various ways meaning you have to grind the levels out anyway - making it kind of moot unless you really simply must have a very slight boost in 'progress'. I should have read the fine print more closely :/

Lando feels super underrated in HvV, I went on an absolutely ridiculous tear with him last night. I don't think I lost a 1v1 with a saber hero the whole match and my cards are pretty garbage on him. Mostly, yes. It's a bit uneven at the moment (at least if feels that way coming out of the old one) but once they pony up all the points you're owed from the crafting parts you may or may not still have you should be able to boost up your guys who are sitting a little lower on the ladder. I played a few games last night and it seems I got thrown into pro city, everyone was super high level! I retreated into some really even games of heroes versus villains which were super fun. Iden is actually a really solid character now, which is nice!

I feel like Lando is actually still one of the better blaster heroes in HvV - you have good snipe potential, his stun/scan thing is great and the smokescreen when you're not the target is pretty invaluable, doubly so now saber heroes can't do their closing attacks on you. HE IS NO CHEWBACCA THO.

No, he's definitely not OP - but he is slippery as all hell but super susceptible to half decent blaster heroes which the Heroes have in spades. Phasma, Bossk and Fett are nowhere near the levels of Finn, Solo, Leia, Lando and Chewbacca and it kinda sucks. Villains need Dengar more than ever :( This is also super disappointing. Villain ships are also lightyears behind Heroes. I like that Versio is Poe-lite but they're still way down - they don't even really have a tank like the Falcon (x2!!!) - I know Fett is supposed to fill that hole but, as anyone who flies that bucket will tell you, that's not the case at all.

The point is that you have to be super on point with those units to score the kill against a Wookiee whereas the Wookiee has to put in a fraction of the effort to retaliate successfully. Hell, I think most of us here have experience of taking down Wookiee's with good ability use and aim but that's simply not possible when stuck in chokepoints where one or two Wookiee's can hold off a whole team seemingly indefinitely.

The HvV challenges were nice if only to see that mode populated with ACTIVE players. Got the challenge in 5-6 rounds. Was absolutely wrecking fools with Chewbacca and Maul. Overall, though, the sides don't seem particularly balanced. Villain blaster heroes are nowhere near as good, on the whole, as the Heroes. Had a Kamino match where the Heroes went full blasters and just absolutely melted us without even breaking a sweat. Hopefully that will improve when rolling gets its day under the nerf bat. Real tired of maverick team-mates not regrouping and just trying to go ham on 4 guys at once and losing us the game, though. A post kill reset would really help bring some additional balance to it... or even an on-screen message saying "REGROUP!" might wake some folk up. Yeesh XD

While I don't have many target kills as target, I find playing with randoms and just not caring about winning helps to rack up one or two every few games. Also much harder as Light Side heroes for some reason... UNLESS YOU ARE FINN.

The wall of silence is probably the biggest factor in fostering such a negative attitude presently. I'm still really enjoying my time with it but even I'm succumbing to a bit of negativity due to the uncertainty of the state of the game - there are some definite balance changes needed as well as some anxiety regarding what's coming next. Where is my Obi Wan? T_T With that said, the only multiplayer challenge I have left is the kill 500 dudes with hero characters. GA is so unpredictable in terms of being able to get and then roll with heroes and HvV is a complete crapshoot when rolling solo. Finn is absolutely disgusting in that mode XD

Pretty much every HvV match I go into on PS4 has farmers in. Usually only two, and usually only on my team but last night there was one on the opposing team. I just quit out, not worth the headache. I've written the mode off until it gets fixed, which is a shame - every mode in this game feels like a potential winner (yes, even GA is fun, even when losing!) so writing the one mode off where you can actually be playing the fun characters is a pretty huge blow. I haven't unlocked a Hero character in forever because in the other modes I prefer to spend my points on stuff that can contribute earlier rather than at the end :(

I don't know how to get 50 kills with the Specialist with that first gun... it's really weaksauce and I'm always getting counter-snipe-one-shotted by guys with the top tier Specialist rifle :(

I love the spawn point in Kashyyk in Blast where you're on a precipice and stuck behind some scenery that you have to jump over. Stepped back to take a run at it and killed myself like three times on that last night XD

I love the Officer class so much. Super fun sniping snipers with a pistol - I currently only have the second pistol and a single upgrade unlocked which changed it from a "this gun is terrible" to: 3 hit kills on pretty much everything other than a shielded Heavy, Wookiees and Heroes.. Star Fighter Assault is sublime but could do with some buffs to Imperial and Droid ships - First Order Interceptors are pretty beastly with the turrets so that feels fine. I wish the GA maps weren't so "pick up this thing and shoot that thing" and a little more unique on a per-map basis but it's fun regardless. I really hope that in the future we can get more Scarif/Death Star styled game modes that munge everything together into a nice, if disjointed, whole.

I really enjoyed the shit out of this movie. I thought Alden Ehrenreich was fucking great. Emilia Clarke was great. Donald Glover was REALLY great. Paul Bettany was great. Woody was perfect. The story was cool, just the kind of Star Wars story I've wanted to see on the big screen since reading the Marvel Comics back in the 80's without lightsabers or any mention of the force at all. The Maul thing at the end was the only "Eh?" part. Not because he was back or the VO but because it felt very much like Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man, except it had the opposite effect on me and I rolled my eyes a bit. Doubly so when he fired up his lightsaber... can we not have one fucking movie without one? Anyways - would love to see a sequel. I wholeheartedly bought into the entire thing. Was also super surprised that Han shot first... that was cool and made me laugh. A lot. Really enjoyed it.
