Jormungandr still is in the scenario, if you explore the areas around the lake you can see parts of his body still The years later part of the secret ending is most likely referencing the end of Fimbulwinter (three full years of harsh winter) which is when Ragnarok starts

I was just thinking about the game (as have been doing for the last week) and I realized something really cool. In the old GoW games, the square button WAS Kratos, it was a staple of the games, culturally associated with the product. Now, the square button is attached to Atreus, and that's such a subtle hint of who truly is the protagonist of this story. Bravo

I think this game will be very influential in future story-driven games. And not really because of co-op Its story is pretty cliche and predictable and if this was a movie, I would prob not care at all. But as a game, it's so much more compelling because of your input in the interactions. Fares and the team did a tremendous job of using direction and game design as a storytelling tool. So much variety in gameplay usage to establish a more intimate connection between the world and the player. This is a game that was made by 40 people, and one that didn't embrace a single genre to label itself, instead it chooses to use some the best tropes the video games medium could offer for storytelling. So yeah, I think a game like this one, that was developed by a small-mid sized team, and that really ain't scared to constantly introduce mechanics for the sake of strengthening their narrative will be very relevant to the story-driven games development scene

FFS, the Arcade Multiplayer is completely broken. It reset my progress when I was at level 19. And most matches get super laggy, and that's when we finally play featured maps. This part of the platinum run is so annoying...

I would love that too. Its kinda dissapointing that despite the big amount of talented and proved indie studios, we havent really seen them taking their chances on publishers ''abandoned'' IP. Sony did one with Shadow of the Beast and Square opened up some through the Collective program but we havent seen anything other that Fear Effect (and I know through some dev days contacts that they got a pitch for Einhander but dont know how that panned out) Not sure if its fear from the publishers, or that the devs dont have a lot of interested because they rather work on their own original IP

If there really is a Direct in February, I hope we get some announcements of games in a similar nature of Snipperclips. Im very glad we already got stuff like Bayo 3 and Prime 4 announced, but the creative potential behind these Nintendo and small indie devs collabs is enormous and I hope we get a lof more of that going forward
