I agree. It would be highly irresponsible to impart your own bias onto a suffering child and affect their quality of life substantially for the rest of their lives simply because you couldn't wrap your mind around an issue. It's best to rely on trained professionals in these instances, with the understanding that you'd seek professionals have received the most up to date training. With all due respect however, I don't think the trans community's experiences should be a weighty factor when compared to trained professionals.
