There's really NOTHING that could justify this kind of behaviour, but as for "hating" the character I think the only thing I can think of (I'm not going to touch these people's "opinions" with a ten foot pole) is one particularly egregious bit of bad writing her character is victim of at the end of the movie. And even that is just "WTF just happened and how did that make sense?" innocent thing, not an "OMG SW is now ruined woe is me" thing. Before that, her character barely gets anything to do and is generally charming all around. Honestly racism and simply mob mentality targeting the newest, "weaker" entry in the cast are the most likely explanations. A part of the people who didn't like TLJ have been absolutely toxic about it and it's not beyond them running a hate campaign against an actress just to keep throwing vitriol at the movie.
