I think the main problem with the US (and Russia), is that they are the only countries in the past 70 years or so that haven’t lost wars on their own soil. Getting your dick kicked in the dirt on a national level definitely makes you rethink fuckin with other people both internally and externally. Honestly it will probably take a few major cities being razed to the ground over this countries 400 years of racism and oppression and sexism for it to finally click with folks, as in it will push the liberals who will suffer most for the actions of the dumbshit GOP to basically wipe them from the face of the earth, or at least reduce them to the levels of the racist parties in Europe in terms of power. We’ve literally been pushing this off since Sherman and the end of the civil war but it’s one of those necessary cleansing fires that most of the West went through during WW2 and the aftermath of that, while the US and Russia were relatively unscathed compared to how France and Germany looked at the end.
