Title: Palestinians Want Freedom Just Like Anyone Else
Reason: Member warned: Claiming Israel's actions are 'the same' as the holocaust.
Beyond ironic, I spent so much of my time in college taking courses about the Holocaust and I look at what Israel is doing today and I just don't have words for it. How a population that has historically been under someones boot could then turn around and do the same thing to someone else just doesn't make sense to me. I'm sure part of it started off as making sure they were protected, so they would never again have to fear being marginalized or worse systematically exterminated. I get that desire, I understand that visceral demand for protection and security, hell I can support it. How that deeply rooted concern for safety turned into ? No, I cannot support that. It makes me exceptionally sad and angry to be honest. To know that there really isn't shit we can do about it makes it even worse. No one, is going to come out against Israel, republican or democrat. Its shameful.
