sorry for your son, but that's not at all how I was when I was younger. I was twice voted most popular in highschool, and once most funny. I craved attention, and relished speaking in front of the school whenever I could. Even today, I have absolutely no problem getting up on stage before a huge crowd and playing them up. I remember a teacher once saying I was a natural showman, that I could play a crowd into the palm of my hands. I had tons of friends growing up, still do. Sure, some fit the stereotype, but it's hardly universal.
