I dont think this means mumsnet has been subverted - its always been very clique. Transphobia is fairly wide spread and I still think for most people on the street a lot of the debate and discussion around it has come on very suddenly. It doesnt help that a lot of activists are also countering these issues with extremely offensive and sexist terms. A great deal of animosity is building up between a group of women and trans people who really just need to sit and hear each others concerns and and life stories over coffee. Also i've taken a look at the active threads and see one on the back of this very discussion out of tens of threads so the author is stretching to say this is every thread now. Seems like fear mongering to me.
