Piracy is hardly an indicator of lost sales. People download just because they can. I know someone who downloads all the movies and shows at 4k blueray lossless, just because he can. That was literally his reason. Most pirates who like the game tend to buy it as well so it usually helps games a bit instead. As a pirate who downloads games I would never pay for normally and buy the games if i do like them, I agree with that idea.
