I'll personally defend it because I find it hilarious. Ludicrous things like that are like that for me. That being said, I haven't actually played any SK games beyond a demo IIRC, but those videos make me want to. It's the kind of absurdism I find appealing. Even if the combat is bad, presentation goes a long way. That SK thread has actually got me curious too with people saying there are legit well-written characters. I'm trying to wrap my head around that claim. I would find the cognitive dissonance of that absolutely fascinating if things do indeed get as serious as they say.
