Meh, I see nothing wrong with Pyra’s design nor Rex’s relationship with her in the context of the game. Even if the lead character was a female with a male 2ndary lead playing the love interest I have a feeling those who lean a bit too far in to “everything in gaming is now sexist” would just say that the game is anchoring the female lead down with a love interest they don’t need, and the only reason the male character is there is because the developers think the women always need a man... It feels like there’s no winning with certain types of people until the female characters are fully covered and ugly.
